GREATER THAN ANGELS

Pride keeps us on the wrong side of life....

He helps us to see the worst in others, while he blurs the reality of our imperfection....

He is a big lie that makes us feel like the greatest when we are really nothing to boast of....

He is one spirit that knocks Angels down from heaven....

Even the devil, who was referred to as perfect in all his ways in the scriptures, became a liar and lost
all his beauty to Pride....

Pride kills the rich, and blinds them from the truth of God....

He blinds the religious  from the perfect righteousness of God, and traps them in self righteousness....

He leaves the sick in their infirmities, and holds sinners bondage in their iniquities....

He turns the wise to foolishness, and the sinners from righteousness....

Pride comes before a fall, and a Prideful man never stands, neither can he fulfill his call....

Humility is a virtue in the Holy divinity of God....

The Spirit of God is a Gentle Spirit, and the Son is just as the Father is....

Humility calls the poor to ride on horses, and the rich to eternal life....

He brings the lost sheep back to the path of the Shepherd....

He calls sinners to repentance, and opens our eyes to our imperfection....

True humility in spirit wins the heart of God....

Humility profits the soul, but Pride destroys it....

For whosoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

Who are we??

From a world where true reality is nothing. no definition, no certainty, but possibilities and probabilities. There's nothing of true substance,no form cos its all matter, its all energy. There is no you, no me, cos we are ever changing. We are volatile, we are unpredictable, we are our choices, we are ever susceptible to natures reform. Our opinions we fight to make credible but are only valued by those who shape our school of thought. So we believe we are original not only a product of what our society chooses to manufacture. We are our past, our present and future, hence you cant claim you are a different being, you are who you were with new choices to make, in turn striving for change for the you you choose to believe you are.

BORN TO DIE WITH NOTHING

Sometimes we feel like we will be contented when we possess our earthly desires, or when our dreams are fulfilled. I guess the next question after 'achieving' all is 'WHAT NEXT?'. I've been in medical school for a while now, and to be honest, if I can find some other thing doing that I find quite comfortable with, then why not switch. The system of this world takes us no where. For instance, we've got a rock on the ground. A child is born today, and gone tomorrow, but the rock is still there. Another child is born and is gone tomorrow, but the rock again, is still in its place.
What is the essence of life when we are born with nothing, strive to have everything, and then die with nothing (1st timothy 6vs7). Its not 'having a negative mind' as people might say., its simply waking up to the reality of existence. God created everything, and put us in the midst of His entire creation, to enjoy and appreciate the works of His hands. Its not difficult to comprehend, its just that man has put himself in the place of the creator, consuming all that he has been blessed with, but giving no heed or regard to God.
About a month ago, my walk with God was going really great. I believe God was, or is actually trying to show me something though. My laptop got broken because i spilled milk over the keyboard, I was running low on cash, and had little money for food and transport talk less of fixing my broken PC. In all my distress and little tribulation, I sought Gods face. There was no form of distraction from God's work, and I totally found that beautiful peace and joy that i had longed for. There was no source of money, but God's favor and grace kept me going, in so many wonderful ways he provided for me. My faith grew to a level that it had never been before. I had a trust for God that I had never really had before, and I believe He helped me put all my trust in Him.
I began asking God for financial support, because I needed to get a new PC, and my cravings for some meals were increasing. God did provide me with what I asked for, and I did not hesitate in getting all I had so dreamed about. I took a bus straight to the burger shop, got a burger, two meat pies, and a bottle of mango juice. After that, I headed for the PC store, got a brand new computer, and went home to 'enjoy'. I did give thanks to God when I got home, and gave my sister some 'words of wisdom' on Skype chat as usual, but after three days, the fear and love of God in me began to wax cold. I became a glutton and a game freak overnight. I bought all the available snacks that my mouth a belly craved, and downloaded all the PC games my computer could take. I sank in all of these, and drew farther from God, who had provided for me by His loving kindness and grace. I didn't worship and praise Him anymore, neither did I even touch my Bible as I used to study daily.
It all dawned on me when I was going broke again. Then I looked back and saw how wicked and ungrateful my actions had been. In all the things money could buy me, I was never satisfied, I always wanted more of something else or something new, when the only one that satisfied my soul, Jesus, I had deserted. I was no different from the Isrealites I had read about in the scriptures, who put God to test in their fornication, unbelief, and ungratefulness.
I had fallen, and despised the presence and love of God for material things, but still His love came and got me back on my feet, and into His everlasting love. He has said 'I will never leave you nor forsake you' and His word is true, but we also have our parts to play in our relationship with God.
In conclusion, never strive to possess material things, because truly, they are all vanity. God gives and He takes, because everything is His, and nothing is ours. We need to understand why God does not always give us all we ask for, instead, he gives us what we need. Our hearts are easily stolen by unnecessary distractions that we really don't need.
''But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you'' MATTHEW 6:33.,
                                                            Jesus Loves You :D
